I will always be incredibly honoured to be a Birth photographer here in Perth and to be invited into a birth space to capture a new life coming into this world. Its a very personal time for couples so to be asked to capture a babies first moments is a privilege. The birth of Jordan was the second birth I have captured for this beautiful family. When Alyssa asked if I would once again photograph her birth of course I said yes.

On the eve of his birth I met Alyssa and her husband Anthony on the maternity ward at Perth’s St John of God Hospital in Midland. Not long after arriving Perth went into its third lockdown and we were a tad worried there for a bit that I wouldn’t be able to stay. Luck was on our side though and I was granted permission. Alyssa laboured throughout the night into the next morning. I went home for a bit and met them again the morning when things started to speed up. Juts a few hours later Alyssa birthed her beautiful third boy into the world standing! Dad even helped the midwife catch him. Alyssa lifted him up onto her check and started some skin to skin. After a feed and cuddles with Dad, Jordan was weighed and measured.

It was a beautiful birth and Alyssa was an absolute warrior! Welcome to the World Jordan!
